This time of year is a great time to update your family portrait! It’s great because we usually have everyone home for the holidays. Now, what you wear for your photos may take some forethought, but it’s not really that hard to coordinate a great lookin’ group!

Tip: When you’re considering what to wear this year, try skipping the identical matching sweaters, and go with a fun “color palette” instead… try something like this wintery group of cool tones (below). You can mix & match the colors & textures for visual interest. Have fun with layers and accessories too! Choosing clothing within a specific color palette keeps the outfits looking coordinated, not boring, and complimenting each other without looking too matchy-matchy. Find something that you feel good in, and have fun!
