When I am planning for a newborn session, I am assuming the baby will most likely be really sleepy most of the day, because that’s pretty much all that new babies do for the first couple of weeks! But sometimes, I get to meet little ones that are a little more alert and curious, like this cutie! Baby Dylan was wide-eyed for most of his newborn session, and his mama wasn’t surprised at all, hee-hee! She said that he was quite the curious little fella, and that he liked to look around at things a lot. He actually reminded me of my oldest son, who was very much the same way when he was born… so I knew exactly what she meant!
Either way, awake or asleep, he was adorable! It is kind of a treat when I get to photograph babies with their eyes open, and even more special when I can get them to make eye contact with me like this little guy. Those big beautiful eyes are just the cutest! And mom & dad will look back on these photos and remember just how alert he was in his first few days <3
